THE ETERNAL WHITE SUIT

It takes vigor and a great dry cleaner to embrace a white suit, however the never-ending stylish statement is somehow worth the risk.

After my own personal success with the pink suit, I revisited Sezanes collection and discovered a white one in the same cut and agreed to the challenge, London dirty streets beware, an angelic power outfit (AKA Adele in THAT Oprah interview) here we come!

According to Google linen suits became popular among men in Europe in the 18th century, the suits were typically made of white or off-white linen and were worn in warm weather to keep the wearer cool. They became even more widespread in the 19th century when they were worn by British soldiers stationed in tropical colonies. For me however, that eternal stylish and inspirational Jackie O Kennedy’s picture - captured walking in the streets of Capri, with her friend in a crisp white suit - was pinned on my moodboard early when I started designing for Oramai

There is just something so stylish about an all white outfit, that even Kate has embraced this challenging color choice. Because let's face it, leaving the house in a crisp white outfit, the morning coffee stop becomes a huge confrontation. Nevertheless, like with any style choice, once it's on - you have to own it. If it’s way too high, high-heels that are literally crushing your feet, you smile and walk on, if its a fabulous Courreges skirt that you don't realize is way too short until you hit the tube stairs, you power walk in it, and a white suit in London rain drizzle, you float out and above does muddy puddles.
